THE PROBLEM: To hold a book open in front of a reader suffering weakness of the hands ( i.e. paralysis, arthritis, etc. ) and to allow for turning of the pages.
THE SOLUTION: The unit is made of plastic ( lexan ). A single sheet, approx. 14" x 20" is heated and bent as shown. Non-slip rubber is bonded to the base. The book support shelf is also bonded but could be screwed in place from the back before bending.Spring loaded clips are mounted, as shown, and allow the reader to release a -page from the right and re-secure it on the left, even using just the wrist.
