THE PROBLEM: After having a stroke this lady was left with the use of only one arm. She wanted very much to be able to continue to put her hair up in a pony tail using only one hand.
THE SOLUTION: This assistive device is designed to replace the second hand in the making of a pony tail and the photos are somewhat self explanatory, The device is attached to the wall level with the center of the back of the head of the person in her wheelchair. Using her one good hand she places all her hair into the "V" grove. She then uses the same hand to swing the arm over to capture all the hair into a tight circle. She then slowly pulls her head forward while she puts the hair clip in place again with the same hand.
