THE PROBLEM: Various medical conditions, such as MS, leave a person with little or no gripping ability in the hands, making such personal activities as Hair and tooth brushing, eating, etc. difficult to impossible.
THE SOLUTION: This very simple design grip assistive device is easy to build, inexpensive and very effective . The band is made of 1" soft stretchy velcro (elastic as used in dress-making would do with velcro sewn on where required) as shown in Fig 1. The loop on the end is placed, by the care giver, over the fingers first and then the band is wrapped and fastened in two places as shown in the subsequent photos.
